The city is a major hub of hypnotist activity. They are found at all levels of society and government, but do not control it. They do control small pockets, like the Red Light District and Yiffem Row. But even there this control is subtle and secret.

The city has unexplainably deep, complicated, extensive and unmapped underground tunnels and buildings that sometimes intersect natural caves. These tunnels can be mundane, or anomalous and connect to other worlds and dimensions.

The city has multiple secret and semi-secret societies; the hypnotists, urban explorers, and others. Accidental reveals always get covered up or result in the witnesses being absorbed into the secret society.

Autumn Groves is an isolated mountain town that feels like it's still in the past. The look and feel of the town is always several decades in the past, visitors have smart phones while the town still has pay phones and CRT monitors in use. Cars are older models and buildings look new yet from a prior era.

The warm, seaside town is a perpetual target for students on break and vacationers alike.

Not quite tropical, the town never gets snow but lacks tropical flora and fauna.

The town has a slow pace to it, but not quite sleepy, with a relaxed pace even at the bonfire beach parties.

The town is modern, with a mix of historical and recent architecture.

Oasis City is a Las Vegas-like desert city rife with gambling, prostitution a hedonistic delights of all types. Crime, organized and otherwise, is also a prominent theme.

Architecture is strongly Art Deco combined with 1950s & 60s neon.

Huge crowds of tourists all the time. The city never sleeps, most places are open 24/7.
