The talented singer Jolene, better known by her stage name of Honey Bun, had a very rough career right from the start. With every band she joined, her vocals were praised but somehow it never panned out to greater things as bands burned out or disbanded. Agents were predatory, stringing her along even as she lined their pockets. Still, her songs sold well, and while she never become a sensation she had a reliable following no matter what band she moved to.

To keep her life afloat, she began overworking herself, eventually turning to drugs to keep herself standing and singing for inhumane hours. In the end no amount of chemistry could keep her going and her voice gave out.

With her ability to sing suddenly lost, Honey Bun fell from the public eye. She survived as best should could, conserving her savings and selling her possessions. She took what jobs she could that did not require much talking, her voice now sounding like gravel.

There was hope, however. Her voice seemed to be slowly recovering, it's old beautiful tones suddenly bursting through the gravel like a sun beam on a cloudy day, only to vanish just as suddenly. She began to study vocal coaching as she never had before, hoping to undo at least some of the damage she had done to herself.

With her voice slowly recovering, she began following a new career as a vocal coach. She did her best to train the next generation of singers and warn them against the mistakes she had made.

Jolene did not sing professionally anymore, her voice couldn't handle take after take. Kareoke, however, was something she could still do. She would move from bar to bar, singing with her old voice for one song, all she could manage for the night. Little did she know this would change her life.

One fateful night one of her old students, Blake, was in the audience with the rest of his band, Bare Naked Sound. The band was quite taken, and Blake was happy to introduce them to his old teacher. Jolene was taken with the attention she was getting from the five handsome young men. Before she realized it, she'd accepted an invitation to see their studio, and then share their beds.

The next morning, as Blueberry served her a heaping breakfast, Jolene ruminated on just how lonely her life had become. She loved singing, and training young singers was rewarding, but she had no one waiting for her at home.

Jason floated the idea of her joining the band, and while the idea of being around the five of them more made her blush, she tried to decline the offer. Still, they insisted she at least speak to their manager Janice.

The tiny fennec Janice was no less imposing for her lack of height, exuding both power but also an inviting, friendly demenour. Jolene soon found herself spilling her entire life story to the fennec.

She wasn't sure how she had wound up with her head in the fennec's lap, the fox stroking her hair like a mother consoling her child. But then Janice made an offer Jolene could never refuse, to give her her voice back. Jolene accepted.

Janice, now revealed to Jolene as a succubus, was as good as her word, giving Jolene her voice in return for Jolene giving Janice her soul. Janice, in fact, gave her ner minion far more than just her voice. Youthful vigor flowed through her veins again as the world of possibilities seemed to open up before her.

She began to practice her singing again in earnest, moving in with the rest of Bare Naked Sound in the apartments adjactent to their studios. Bare Naked Sound presented itself as a garage rock band, but the reality was they did a bit of everything under many names. Jolene found herself stretching herself to expand her range, singing under various stage names in genres she'd never imagined herself in, at venues she'd never considered before.

Then she discovered she was pregnant with quintuplets, one of each member of the band. Janice's mischevious smile told her who was responsible, but she found herself thankful.

Jolene's pregnancy did not keep her off of the stage nor out of the recording studio until the babies were finally due. She was blessed with five baby daughters.

The burdens of being a new mother were lightened greatly as women she had never met before or only met in passing revealed themselves to be fellow succubi, here to help her raise her new daughters.
